Volleyball Recap: Sonora Takes a Loss

Sonora was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Veribest Falcons. The Broncos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

Veribest's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tagun Cary, who had 11 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Cary has posted since back in September of 2024. Tristyn Rojo was another key player, getting 11 assists and seven digs.

Sonora's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Veribest, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Sonora has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Buena Vista on the 23rd. As for Veribest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Miles on the 23rd.
