Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brennan Framel, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Keaton Marriott, who scored seven points along with four steals.

Kit Carson has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Wiley, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Kit Carson won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hi-Plains at 4:00 p.m. on January 13th. Hi-Plains is on a three-game streak of home losses, Kit Carson a five-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. Wiley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Walsh at 3:00 p.m. on January 19th. Walsh aren't just struggling at home either: they haven't won a game anywhere since December 15, 2023.
