Volleyball Recap: Holy Name Green Wave vs. Highland Hornets
Holy Name was the 2-0 winner over Highland when they last played one another back in September of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Holy Name Green Wave took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highland Hornets on Saturday.
While Holy Name was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly two points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 28-26.
Despite the loss, Holy Name saw an underclassman step up: Hayden Wells had 11 digs.
Leading Highland to victory were Carley Niese and Kennedy Morgan. Niese had 12 digs, while Morgan had nine digs.
