On Tuesday, Tri-City United [Montgomery-Lonsdale/Le Center] came up short against St. Peter and fell 6-2.

Belle Plaine came out on top against Waseca on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Tigers never let the Bluejays get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bluejays: they've now won six in a row.

Not much got past Logan Hoen, who gave up just a hit and racked up 13 Ks to keep Waseca off the board. Hoen is becoming a predictor of Belle Plaine's success: when he allows at most two hits the team is 2-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, Belle Plaine got a massive performance out of Luke Schultz, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that Schultz has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Treyden Hiles, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Belle Plaine hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Waseca struck out 13 times.

Tri-City United [Montgomery-Lonsdale/Le Center] now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Belle Plaine, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 4-5.

Tri-City United [Montgomery-Lonsdale/Le Center] suffered a grim 11-2 defeat to Belle Plaine in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
