Basketball Recap: Titusville Takes a Loss

Titusville lost against Oil City back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Titusville Rockets came up short against the Oil City Oilers, falling 72-46. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 685th, while the Oilers are ranked 186th).

Titusville has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for Oil City, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Looking ahead, Titusville is taking a road trip to face off against Seneca at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Seneca has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Oil City, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-54 victory against Clarion-Limestone on the 5th.
