Soccer Game Preview: Hayfield vs. Washington-Liberty

The Hayfield Hawks will square off against the Washington-Liberty Generals at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Hayfield's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Friday, Hayfield didn't have quite enough to beat Annandale and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Hayfield have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Washington-Liberty, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They never let James Madison get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Friday.

Washington-Liberty pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three games. As for Hayfield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
