Eastern Alamance has gone 9-1 against Cedar Ridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Eastern Alamance Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Eastern Alamance's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Williams 16-0.

Olivia Foster and Addison Hester did most of the damage at the plate: Foster went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI, while Hester scored three runs while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance gave Hester a new career-high in runs. Kayden Manning was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Cedar Ridge came up short against Roxboro Community on Wednesday and fell 15-10. The Fighting Red Wolves have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.
Cedar Ridge got a massive performance out of Kimber Shambley, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Brittani Goddard, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
Even though they lost, Cedar Ridge lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs in three consecutive matches.
Eastern Alamance is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. Cedar Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Eastern Alamance hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.9 home runs per game. However, it's not like Cedar Ridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1.1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Eastern Alamance beat Cedar Ridge 8-4 in their previous matchup on March 3rd. Will Eastern Alamance repeat their success, or does Cedar Ridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
