Baseball Game Preview: Chisholm Trail Rangers vs. Northwest Texans

The Chisholm Trail Rangers will face off against the Northwest Texans at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Chisholm Trail and three for Northwest.

Chisholm Trail saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell 5-1 to Timber Creek.

Chisholm Trail saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Hernandez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. Those hits were Hernandez's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Northwest fell victim to Guyer and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

Chisholm Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Northwest, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Chisholm Trail suffered a grim 13-6 defeat to Northwest in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Chisholm Trail avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
