Southern Christian is a perfect 3-0 against East Central HomeSchool since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Southern Christian will host East Central HomeSchool at 6:30 p.m. Southern Christian is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Southern Christian came up short against Ezekiel Academy and fell 6-3.

Meanwhile, East Central HomeSchool got their first taste of in-conference action on Thursday and they started things off strong. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Tuscaloosa Home Educators 4-2. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Andrew Barksdale was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off 12 hits. Barksdale was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of East Central HomeSchool's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 1-4 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Barrett Weems, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

East Central HomeSchool's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Southern Christian, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Everything went Southern Christian's way against East Central HomeSchool in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Southern Christian made off with a 19-5 win.
