Softball Recap: Mountain View Bruins vs. Hurricane Tigers
Mountain View had lost three straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 9-17 to make it four. They came up short against the Hurricane Tigers, falling 12-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on Friday.
Callie Huff was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
As for Hurricane, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-17. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won nine matches by seven runs or more so far this season.
On Hurricane's side, Austin Terry made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Terry has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.
