Basketball Recap: Rachel Neumiller's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon over Bishop Ryan

Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-39 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bishop Ryan Lions. The Hornets were not able to make up for their loss to the Lions from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Rachel Neumiller, who went 6 for 11 on her way to 12 points and five rebounds. Neumiller has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Braylee Keller was another key player, putting up seven points and eight boards.

Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Bishop Ryan, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-8 record.

Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon has already played their next contest, a 59-47 loss against Our Redeemer's Christian on the 13th. As for Bishop Ryan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 44-38 victory against Drake/Anamoose on the 13th.
