Baseball Recap: Edison Wins Going Away Against Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology

Edison got themselves on the board against Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology on Tuesday, but Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Athletics with a sharp 6-0 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

The result came thanks to Jackson Naumovich's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Demir Doven and John Dobson did most of the damage at the plate: Doven went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Dobson went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run. Those three stolen bases gave Dobson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Roeschlein, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Edison has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-9.
