Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Oak Park

Oak Park had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Palisades on Friday. Everything went the Oak Park Eagles' way against the Palisades Dolphins as the Oak Park Eagles made off with a 9-1 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won four matches in a row.

Erika Samuels tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kirthi Paramasivan, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 4-for-4. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Julia Katz was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Oak Park's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Palisades, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
