Soccer Recap: Lewisburg Extends Winning Streak to Five

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lewisburg). They put the hurt on the Milton Black Panthers with a sharp 7-0 win on Monday. Lewisburg's winning goal came courtesy of Isaac Ayres.

The victory keeps Lewisburg at an undefeated 12-0-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those five contests. As for Milton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Lewisburg will venture away from home to challenge Danville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Danville's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Milton, they will head out on the road to take on Hughesville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
