Softball Game Preview: Lancaster Red Devils vs. Westmoreland Eagles

For the second straight game, Lancaster will face off against Westmoreland. The Red Devils will be playing at home against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lancaster is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.

Lancaster had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Westmoreland on Tuesday. The Red Devils put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 17-8 win. Considering the Red Devils have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Westmoreland's part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madelynn Hays, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

The loss snapped Westmoreland's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-3 record. As for Lancaster, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3.
