Soccer Recap: Ocoee Comes Up Short

Ocoee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Freedom Patriots. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Ocoee couldn't quite close it out.

Ocoee's loss dropped their record down to 3-8-1. As for Freedom, their win bumped their record up to 2-9-2.

Coming up, Ocoee will host Evans at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Ocoee will be up against Evans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.67 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Freedom, they have already played their next match, a 1-0 victory against Oak Ridge on the 8th.
