Softball Recap: East Lansing Takes a Loss

East Lansing was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the DeWitt Panthers, falling 11-4. The Trojans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Bridget Buhl made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those stolen bases marked the first that she has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Talia Dunn, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

East Lansing's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for DeWitt, they moved to 3-9 with that win, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, East Lansing will square off against Holt at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for DeWitt, they will take on Lansing Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
