It was a good run, but DuBois unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Altoona Mountain Lions. The Beavers were not able to make up for their loss to the Mountain Lions from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

DuBois got a good showing from Alex Sago, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Sago has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

DuBois' defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Altoona, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.

DuBois wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Punxsutawney on the 12th. As for Altoona, they have also already played their next game, a 7-1 victory against Central Dauphin on the 10th.
