Volleyball Recap: Bishop Blanchet Triumphs

Bishop Blanchet won the last time they faced Roosevelt and Audrey Schneider did her part to make sure it happened again. The Bears were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Roughriders on Monday thanks in part to Schneider, who had 12 digs and six assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

While Bishop Blanchet won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-14, 25-22.

Bishop Blanchet's victory bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Roosevelt, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bishop Blanchet will take on rival Seattle Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Roosevelt is set to square off against their familiar foe Lakeside at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Roughriders are on a three-game streak of home wins, the Lions a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
