Momence won the last time they faced Watseka and Erick Castillo did his part to make sure it happened again. The Momence Athletics blew past the Warriors 44-19 on Friday for which the team can thank Castillo, who threw for 309 yards and five TDs, and also rushed for 86 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries. Momence is 3-1 when Castillo posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 0-4 otherwise.

Momence's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5. As for Watseka, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Momence will face off against Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Momence Athletics will be up against the Buffaloes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.13 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Watseka, they will host Hoopeston/Armstrong at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
