It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mariemont had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They skirted past the Archbishop Alter Knights 2-1. The win was familiar territory for Mariemont, who have now won seven contests in a row.

Miller Spreen and Addy Zawaly scored both of Mariemont's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 31 goals.

Mariemont's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Archbishop Alter, the loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 14-2-4.

Coming up, Mariemont will square off against Indian Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Indian Hill's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Mariemont's offense will have their work cut out for them. Archbishop Alter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
