West Salem won the last time they faced Tomah and things went their way on Friday too. The Panthers breezed past the Timberwolves to the tune of 37-6. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Timberwolves are ranked 211th).

West Salem pushed their record up to 1-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.0 points on average over those games. As for Tomah, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

West Salem and Tomah will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Panthers are set to square off against their familiar foe Viroqua at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Tomah will take on rival Baraboo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
