Softball Recap: Arcola Falls Short of Leroy in the Playoffs

Arcola and LeRoy squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Arcola had to settle for second. They lost 13-2 to the Panthers. The loss continues a trend for the Purple Riders in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost six in a row.

Ava Simpson and Ema Simpson stepped up to the plate in a big way. Ava got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run, while Ema went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Arcola's defeat dropped their record down to 15-14. As for LeRoy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Arcola nor LeRoy have any future games scheduled.
