Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Carver's Fifth in Last Six Outings

Carver's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 38-26 win over the College Prep & Leadership Academy Royals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 56-27 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, College Prep & Leadership Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore MacKenzie Dumbuya posted 13 points. Alexis Holmes was another key player, putting up four points.

Carver is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for College Prep & Leadership Academy, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 7-5 record.

Carver wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 46-27 victory against Bethany Community on the 29th. College Prep & Leadership Academy has also already played their next contest, a 61-18 loss against Bishop McGuinness on the 31st.
