Statesville Christian came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Cornerstone Christian Academy Crusaders 71-45. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 23 points or more this season.

Cornerstone Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zach Montgomery, who posted 11 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Leo Diaz, who put up nine points and three steals.

Statesville Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
