Softball Game Preview: Burroughs Burros vs. Serrano Diamondbacks

Burroughs is 2-8 against Serrano since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Burros will venture away from home to take on the Diamondbacks at 3:15 p.m. Burroughs has given up an average of 9.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Burroughs managed to slip by Apple Valley the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Burros came up short against the Sun Devils on Thursday, falling 17-5. The Burros have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maesynn Drake was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Reyna Bojorquez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Serrano was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oak Hills.

Serrano's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Burroughs, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Burroughs couldn't quite get it done against Serrano in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 11-6. Can the Burros avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
