Bishop Brossart hadn't done well against Pendleton County recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Bishop Brossart blew past Pendleton County 9-0. While the Mustangs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The result came thanks to Anna Bezold's shutout, as she gave up just six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sophie Schultz, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Rachel Shewmaker, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Bishop Brossart's record now sits at 5-1. As for Pendleton County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-2.
