Baseball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Los Osos' Eighth in Last Ten Outings

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Los Osos walked away with it. They skirted past the Cypress Centurions 7-5.

On the hitting side, Evan Jones was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Meyer, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Los Osos has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Cypress, they moved to 18-11 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Los Osos will head out to take on Corona at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Grizzlies surely won't give up without a fight. Cypress does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
