Baseball Recap: Chincoteague Takes a Loss

Chincoteague lost against Arcadia last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Ponies lost 14-4 to the Firebirds.

Chincoteague saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brice Luck, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Micah Bennicoff was another, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Chincoteague dropped their record down to 8-10-1 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Arcadia, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chincoteague will head out to challenge Nandua at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Arcadia, they will venture away from home to take on Lancaster at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Firebirds are facing the Red Devils at the right time seeing as the Red Devils are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
