Basketball Game Preview: Nova Titans vs. Coral Springs Colts

Two dominant guards in Jaelynn Housey and Nethania Noel-Jeune are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Nova Titans will challenge the Coral Springs Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Nova is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

Nova is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Florida's top teams: Miami Country Day, who was ranked ninth at the time (Nova was ranked 21st). Nova skirted past Miami Country Day 52-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Titans have posted since November 26, 2024.

Housey continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 14 boards. That's the most points she has posted since back in January of 2024. Kimora Exum was another key player, putting up six points and six assists.

Meanwhile, Coral Springs got the win against Fort Lauderdale on Monday by a conclusive 58-38. The Colts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Nova is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.2 points. As for Coral Springs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.

Nova might still be hurting after the 51-27 loss they got from Coral Springs in their previous meeting back in January of 2022. Can Nova avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
