Fairmont Senior faced Wheeling Park in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Polar Bears took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. The Polar Bears' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Brock Martin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Fairmont Senior's defeat dropped their record down to 22-5. As for Wheeling Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season.
