Basketball Recap: Matawan Regional Starts Season with Win at Home

Matawan Regional took care of business in their home opener on Monday (and then some). They claimed a resounding 40-9 win over the Asbury Park Bishops. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Huskies as it put an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Matawan Regional won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Jackson Memorial at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Asbury Park will take on Keansburg in a holiday battle at at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
