Volleyball Recap: Madera South Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Madera South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Sanger West Hornets, falling 3-0. The Stallions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hornets from their previous meeting back in October of 2023.

While Madera South was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Sanger West's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 25-20.

Isabella Zaragosa paced Madera South's offense, picking up ten kills. Zaragosa got some help from Liyah Chavira and her 20 assists. Zaragosa was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Madera South's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Sanger West, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Madera South has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Madera on the 21st. As for Sanger West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Exeter on the 19th.
