Oriskany is on a 19-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while McGraw is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Skyhawks will welcome the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
If Oriskany beats McGraw with 11 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Skyhawks blew past Morrisville-Eaton 11-4 on Saturday.
Meanwhile, while McGraw put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Lyme Central. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Indians. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly 12 runs.
Blair Mulcahy made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over 4.2 innings pitched. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.3 strikeouts per game. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brennan Wilson, who went 1-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Foster Eaton was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
McGraw's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Oriskany, their win bumped their record up to 18-0.
Oriskany was able to grind out a solid victory over McGraw in their previous matchup back in June of 2025, winning 6-3. Do the Skyhawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
