Football Recap: Sylacauga Comes Up Short

Sylacauga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Central of Clay County Volunteers and fell 58-17. The game marked the Aggies' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Sylacauga still got an impressive performance from Cj Franklin, who rushed for 68 yards and two TDs on only seven carries, and also threw for 124 yards on only 11 passes.

Sylacauga now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Central of Clay County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Sylacauga didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 43-36 win against Jemison on the 26th. As for Central of Clay County, they have also already played their next game, a 26-9 victory against Scottsboro on the 26th.
