Softball Recap: Junction Takes a Loss

Junction and Bremond squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Junction had to settle for second. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 11-5. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Daniella Martinez made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played. Marilyn Martinez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Junction's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Bremond, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

While Junction had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
