Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Buffalo Gap). They blew past the Rockbridge County Wildcats, posting a 55-9 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bison needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Cooper Reed was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 141 yards and two scores on only eight carries. Those two rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Brandon Argenbright also deserves some recognition as he punched in his first rushing touchdown of the season.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Buffalo Gap was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 297 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Buffalo Gap's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Rockbridge County, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
