Basketball Recap: Pine Tree Academy Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Pine Tree Academy entered their contest against Valley on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Pine Tree Academy Breakers fell 58-45 to the Valley Cavaliers. While losing is never fun, the Breakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 12th).

Pine Tree Academy's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4. As for Valley, the win keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Pine Tree Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Richmond at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th. Valley has already played their next game (against Carrabec), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
