Basketball Recap: Jacobs Comes Up Short

Jacobs suffered their biggest loss since January 19, 2024 on Saturday. They took a blow against the Palatine Pirates, falling 67-31. The game marked the Golden Eagles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Despite the loss, Jacobs still got an impressive performance from Emaan Thomas, who posted nine points and three steals. That's the most steals Thomas has posted since back in December of 2024. Connor Goehring also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Jacobs has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season. As for Palatine, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jacobs will take on Prairie Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Palatine, they will square off against Hoffman Estates at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
