Flag Football Game Preview: Russell County Warriors vs. Auburn Tigers + How To Watch

The Russell County Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Auburn Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Last Wednesday, Russell County came up short against Opelika and fell 19-6.

Russell County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of McKenzie Word and Valah Brooks. Brooks is on a roll when it comes to interceptions, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Meanwhile, Auburn faced Moody in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Tigers fell 24-13 to the Blue Devils. It was the first time this season that the Tigers let down their fans at home.

Russell County's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Auburn, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Russell County was taken down by Auburn 33-6 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
