North Surry typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Forbush proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Greyhounds, sneaking past 13-12. Winning may never get old, but the Falcons sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Konner Sizemore looked comfortable as he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Forbush let Dylan McClamrock and Aaron Hutchens run wild. McClamrock went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Hutchens got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that McClamrock has hit this season. Colton Moxley was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one triple and one RBI.

Forbush always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February.

Forbush pushed their record up to 17-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for North Surry, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forbush will welcome Reidsville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Surry, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against McMichael at 6:00 p.m.
