Baseball Recap: Rifle Finds Home Field Redemption Against Glenwood Springs

There's no place like home for Rifle, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Glenwood Springs Demons 9-7. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Demons recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Joseph Spritzer, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Adan Medina, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Rifle now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Glenwood Springs, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rifle will welcome Steamboat Springs at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Sailors will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight. As for Glenwood Springs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Smoky Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
