Cypress Bay is 0-8 against American Heritage since March of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Cypress Bay Lightning will be playing at home against the American Heritage Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Cypress Bay is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Last Thursday, Cypress Bay came up short against Western and fell 4-1. The Lightning have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cypress Bay saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allena Dinneen, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. That RBI was Dinneen's first of the season.

Meanwhile, American Heritage put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Pembroke Pines Charter a 12-0 shutout. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Patriots this season.

The team relied heavily on Samantha Santana, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Bria Villano was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

American Heritage was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pembroke Pines Charter only posted a batting average of .176.

Cypress Bay's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for American Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Cypress Bay hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .333. However, it's not like American Heritage struggles in that department as they've averaged .413. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
