Scott County is 6-1 against Lexington Christian since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Scott County will be playing at home against Lexington Christian at 5:30 p.m. Scott County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

While Scott County's win against Lafayette wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Scott County skirted past Lafayette 6-5. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Generals recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Jack Willhite tossed a big game, striking out 12 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tyler Wands was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Lexington Christian suffered their biggest loss since May 1, 2024 on Wednesday. They lost 12-6 to George Rogers Clark. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Scott County's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lexington Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Scott County skirted past Lexington Christian 4-3 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will Scott County repeat their success, or does Lexington Christian has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
