Baseball Game Preview: Northern Nash Knights vs. Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets

For the second straight game, Northern Nash will face off against Roanoke Rapids. The Knights will be playing at home against the Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Northern Nash didn't have quite enough to beat Roanoke Rapids and fell 7-6.

For Roanoke Rapids' part, Carson Duncan was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Sawyer Williams, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI.

Roanoke Rapids hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in four consecutive games.

Northern Nash now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Roanoke Rapids, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
