Baseball Recap: Lake Howell Takes a Loss

If Lake Howell was riding high fresh off their 17-2 takedown of Seminole on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Silverhawks fell just short of the Dr. Phillips Panthers by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Silverhawks have suffered since March 13, 2025.

Drew Baker made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

The loss was their first on the road, dropping their record down to 3-2. As for Dr. Phillips, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Howell will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Seminole at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dr. Phillips, they will challenge Olympia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Panthers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
