Soccer Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

If Lincoln was riding high fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Madison last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lincoln Tigers fell just short of the Conrad Chargers by a score of 2-1 on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 695th, while the Chargers are ranked 252nd).

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Conrad, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln will face off against Inspired Vision at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Lincoln is facing Inspired Vision at the right time seeing as Inspired Vision is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Conrad, they will challenge Pinkston at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
