Cape Fear has gone 9-1 against Gray's Creek recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Cape Fear Colts will head out on the road to face off against the Gray's Creek Bears at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Thursday, Cape Fear lost to Lumberton at home by a 66-52 margin. The loss continues a trend for the Colts in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now lost eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Gray's Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 69-64 heartbreaker at the hands of Jack Britt. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (58), the Bears still had to take the loss.

Cape Fear's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Gray's Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.

Cape Fear didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Gray's Creek in their previous matchup last Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 56-52 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cape Fear since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
