Volleyball Recap: Tate Beats West Florida for Their Fourth Straight Win

Tate entered their tilt with West Florida on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Jaguars. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Aggies also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Tate was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-11.

Torrie Garrett paced Tate's offense, picking up 13 kills. Garrett got some help from Bailie Merritt and her 26 assists. Merritt also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with McKenna Lister, racking up three apiece.

Tate's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for West Florida, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Coming up, Tate is taking a road trip to challenge Escambia at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for West Florida, they will host Pensacola at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The game will give the Jaguars their first taste of in-conference action this season.
