Volleyball Recap: Twin Peaks Classical Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against William Smith on Monday, Twin Peaks Classical Academy came back down to earth. The Timberwolves fell 3-1 to the Loveland Classical Lions on Wednesday. The Timberwolves haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Twin Peaks Classical Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-15, 25-16, 25-14.

Despite the loss, Twin Peaks Classical Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ari Esch had 20 digs and two aces. Those 20 digs set a new season-high mark for Esch.

Twin Peaks Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Loveland Classical, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-7.

Twin Peaks Classical Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Aurora West College Prep Academy on the 22nd. As for Loveland Classical, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Golden View Classical Academy on the 22nd.
